Describe your edit

Copy the original wording exactly. If it appears more than once, describe the location to target.

Your next edit, in three steps.

  1. 01

    Upload the image

Choose a clear JPG, PNG or WebP. Keep the original file so you can compare the edited area and surrounding details afterward.

  2. 02

    Identify the words

Type the visible text to remove, including numbers in a date stamp. Describe its location when the same wording appears elsewhere.

  3. 03

    Review the rebuilt area

AI fills the area using nearby visual context. Inspect textures, edges and any faces near the old lettering, then download a result you are happy with.

Made for the details that change.

Reuse a campaign image

Remove an expired promotional caption from your own graphic while keeping the main subject for a new campaign.

Remove a camera date stamp

Clean an old date overlay from a personal photograph. This edits visible pixels; it does not change the photo metadata.

Clear a poster headline

Remove a headline from your design so the illustration can be reused. Ask to keep the smaller supporting text.

Removing text without losing the picture

  • This tool reconstructs the area covered by text; it cannot recover hidden original pixels. A plain wall or sky usually gives the model clearer context than a face or intricate pattern.
  • Be specific about which words should disappear and which should remain. Target one caption first instead of asking the model to erase every label in a busy image.
  • For a visible date stamp, enter the date exactly and describe the corner. Removing visible numbers does not remove EXIF dates or other file metadata.
  • Inspect the result at full size. Thin lines, small objects and repeated patterns may need another attempt. This is generative editing, not guaranteed lossless restoration.

Before you edit.

Can I remove text without removing the background?

The model attempts to fill the lettering area with a plausible continuation of the background. It does not delete the entire background, but details can change. A complex pattern or an object hidden behind text cannot be reconstructed with certainty.

Can I remove a date stamp from a photo?

Yes. Enter the visible date and its location, such as the bottom-right corner. This removes the visible overlay through AI editing, not the capture date stored in file metadata.

Can I keep some text and remove the rest?

Specify the exact words to remove and describe the location. Mention labels you want to retain in the location field. Always check that the remaining text is still correct.

Is this a watermark remover?

This page is designed for visible text cleanup. It is not a dedicated logo detector, does not promise exact watermark reconstruction, and does not remove invisible SynthID signals or provenance metadata.

Is the text remover free or available without login?

You need to sign in and use AnyIMG credits. The selected model and resolution determine the cost shown before generation. Each new attempt uses credits; there is no unlimited free mode.

What if I want different words in the same place?

Use the Edit Text in Image tool instead. It has separate fields for the old wording and replacement, so you can request a single edit rather than remove and regenerate text in two steps.
